Engine Optimisation Web Log (BLOG) Editor:

This News Blog is dedicated to bringing news, information and innovations targeting
the Search Engine Optimisation industry. Could
this really be true?
Imagine
you are the biggest search provider in the world, and that you have introduced
large amounts of hi-tech filters into your index to remove websites that are not
within your guidelines. Now imagine your frustration when you realise that for
everything you do, webmasters are making alterations to influence your results
and staying under the radar by using more and more imaginative technologies. So
in a brave move you decide that the answer is that you need to enlist a huge number
of editors to identify these sites, firstly to get them removed from the index
and secondly to teach your robots what to look for. But here's the wake up call,
how do you get enough editors together to police 4-8 billion sites. What
you do is you turn off your filters allowing all the rubbish to rise to the top,
you invite your users to report cases of spam. After a couple of weeks you restore
your results to where they were previously minus the rubbish. Can
I say initially, I have no idea if this is true. As always it is an interesting
concept and for the moment it will have to remain as such, but if indeed this
is what is going on I would not like to play chess with anyone at Google their
strategies are just too much on the "ragged edge" Confused
on what to do next, email or call
