So Lucky

A slight departure, but I've just won the Spanish Lottery...or so a letter that arrived this morning would have me believe. All I have to do is give them my bank details!!! Hmmmm...like I just fell of the nearest Christmas tree. Don't you usually have to buy a lottery ticket first?

This is where the internet becomes a good thing. A very quick search for LA PRIMITIVA LOTTERY INTERNATIONAL PROMOTIONS PROGRAMME and a wealth of information started to come up, fraudaid Nikke Lindqvist and Crimes of Persuasion to name but a few.

So Don JUAN GARCIA, Foreign operation Manager BILBAO SERUGOS S.L., I suspect you probably do get unsuspecting people responding to such lame attempts at separating them from their well earned cash. But one thing's for sure, as the internet reaches more people, with more bloggers and forums being used to exchange information, I'd hope that anyone receiving such communications whether it be in the post, by email or even telephone will learn to use search to research the companies involved first.

It's ok sometimes to look the gift horse in the mouth!
