trials Pay Per Action ads Pay Per Action (PPA) ads have gone into
beta testing on a limited basis in the US according to sources close to Google. PPA
will allow advertisers to create adverts which only cost when a desired action
is triggered. The ads are available to a limited number of AdSense publishers
and enable the advertiser to set their price per action. Publishers will
be able to select which PPA ads they would like to display on their content sites
and can choose to display all PPA ads, or select to show keyword specific ads
or select a specific ad from a specific advertiser. As it stands, Google
is not allowing a percentage-based pricing scheme and advertisers can only set
a flat price prior to building the advert. As well as selecting from a text
ad, static image ad and flash ad, users will be able to choose from a hyperlink
text link and a video ad option is coming soon. Google is now accepting
US advertisers and publishers into the beta and the publisher will have to login
to their AdSense account, go to the referrals section and select other referrals
from the options. Apparently Google plans on adding more advertisers and
publishers into the trial over the upcoming weeks. Comment:
