Google finally reveals invalid click rate is below 10 per cent.Google has
bowed to pressure to reveal the number of invalid clicks on Google AdWords. It
has finally announced the figure is less than 10 per cent and says it has remained
consistently under this mark. It also said that the number of invalid clicks that
are not proactively detected and are caught by advertisers is less than 0.02%. Until now Google had been unwilling to divulge specific statistics even though it had come under fire from click fraud reporting firms. It has finally caved in and the revelations have been welcomed by advertisers who wanted clearer details of click fraud. Google said it had been reluctant to say too much as it is concerned about fraudulent use of the system and acknowledged the high levels of interest in more granular details on the level of invalid clicks occurring in the AdWords system. The releasing of this information is part of a move
by Google to offer more transparency to advertisers. More information is available for free on our SEO Tutorials page.
