Top 10 UK Search Engines?
Recently Hitwise revealed its 2005 report on the most popular search engines for the UK. Hitwise collects web surfing data anonymously provided by various ISPs. Data is collected from 25 Million Internet users who view over 500,000 web sites per day. The report shows that Google's popularity in the UK is higher than that of the 57% Google.com commands in the US.

Interestingly 65% of the Yahoo! searches were instigated from their internet portal, however MSN's results were delivered despite having only 16% through the portal.

As a long term internet user of old, it saddens me to see my old search engine of choice (altavista) sitting right at the bottom.
