Backlink update, the year to date.
Yet another backlink update took
place last night, and yet again search engine optimisers are confounded by the
fact that no PR update has taken place yet again. The traditional Google Dance
has changed out of all recognition, since June there have been 7 BackLink updates
but only one PageRank update.
MSN
Desktop Search.
Microsoft have finally lifted the
covers on their new MSN
Desktop Search. The competition have been busy preparing their versions and
the list of players is growing almost daily Yahoo, Google, MSN, Copernic, X1.
Google
Speculation .
Google seems to be very busy at
the moment. Rumours are abound that the directory has been updated, including
the PR information in the directory. The SERPs are also behaving erratically and
changing very frequently.

Spaces announced.
It's hardly search but I thought
it worthy of announcing, MSN are launching their new public publishing Beta system
known as MSN Spaces.
MSN Spaces is an online scrapbook, it is an ideal and simple way to construct
your own Web log, or blog, share photos, music playlists etc.
BackLinks
updated.
Well it happened of sorts, BackLinks
did update. But no sign of a PageRank update. Microsoft's
new Beta Search engine.
The waiting is over- at last we
can talk about some of the content of the MSN Search Champs project. The all new
MSN Search is now out there for all to play with UK http://beta.search.msn.co.uk
USA http://beta.search.msn.com.
MSN's declared intention was to produce the largest, highest performance and highest
quality index of content, with over 5 billion documents with the expectation to
expand further. Interestingly on the day of release of the MSN Search Beta Google
has decided to raise the stakes and introduce its 8 billion page index. Making
Google still the biggest index.
Another
storm brewing.
This morning the Google Datacentres
have gone into free fall, the Google SERPs (search engine results pages) are moving
around wildly, last weekend was a BackLink update so the indications are that
this weekend could well be a PR update and dance. For those with a cynical attitude
the anniversary of the infamous Florida
Update is one week away. I don't think for a minute, given the out cry last
time, that Google would wait to the anniversary of Florida before launching another
"stinging update" but then again....!!! XSEO

Well it happened of sorts, BackLinks
did update. But no sign of a PageRank update. Maybe the updates are to be out
of synch from now on- Octobers PageRank Update was on the 7th, if Novembers is
to be around the same date it could happen the coming weekend. SEO
